2 Weeks ago, the Ring the Alarm petition was launched. Children’s organizations, concerned individuals and others from all around the world have joined us already in our call for the government of The Netherlands to enact legislation that will make it possible to ban child sex advocacy associations like Martijn. Our call for legislation is based on Article 34 of the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child [UNCRC], Article 9 of the UNCRC Optional Protocol on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography, and Article 8 of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse [Lanzarote Convention]. So far, almost 400 people and organizations have confirmed their signature for our petition. Hereby, we would like to introduce to you some of the organizations that have decided to join us in this call. Their logo’s are placed on the first page of our website.
It feels amazing to join hands with organizations from all across the world to fight for the rights and safety of children. It reminds us of the fact that, although we are all small parts individually, together we form a huge, worldwide chain that cannot be broken. Together we can ensure a better and safer future for children everywhere!
Thanks to all of you for your support and please remember to forward our website and petition to others!
